There may have been some murmurings about my decision to include fictional characters... but why ever not? They can be as good a source of awe as those in reality, more so in some cases!
I was really quite young when Elsie Tanner left the cobbles of Coronation Street but I remember her as a feisty, glamorous, Northern lass, a force to be reckoned with. She always "had her face on," in the words of my Grandma.
